Director Catherine Hardwicke's action thriller film is based on the 2011 Mexican film of the same name. Gina Rodriguez plays Gloria, a Los Angeles makeup artist who is forced to work for a violent drug cartel after they kidnap her best friend in Tijuana. Her life is placed under even greater danger when Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officials coerce her into becoming a double agent.
