After marrying physician William Lundigan, Dorothy McGuire finds herself home alone most of the time, and she also fumes silently as she watches her husband's parade of beautiful female patients. Further problems arise due to Dorothy's snooty mother-in-law, who feels the girl isn't good enough for her precious son.
