"This DVD edition of the action thriller Mercury Rising gets the deluxe treatment, with plenty of bells and whistles for fans of the DVD format. Mercury Rising: Special Edition has been given a letterboxed transfer in its original widescreen aspect ratio of 2.35:1, which has been enhanced for 16 x 9 playback on HDTV monitors. The original English-language soundtrack has been mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while two alternate tracks, dubbed into French and Spanish, are in Dolby Digital Surround. Optional Spanish-language subtitles are included, as well as closed captioning in English. In addition to the feature film, a wealth of bonus material has been included, including a short documentary on the making of the film, a chapter of production notes, a commentary track from the director, biographies of the key members of the cast and crew, production stills, a link to the film's official website, and the original theatrical trailer."
