"Russell Mulcahy's cinematic adaptation of The Shadow comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that fails to reproduce the original theatrical aspect ratio. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital Surround and DTS 5.1. There are no subtitles or closed-captions on this release, nor are there any special features. Considering the picture is pan-and-scan, there are no extras, the list price is high, and the film itself is remarkably dull, this disc is just about impossible to recommend."
