"Ang Lee's Civil War epic is given a wonderful widescreen anamorphic transfer with an aspect ratio of 2.35:1. As shown in his films Sense and Sensibility, The Ice Storm, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the director has a keen eye for period detail, natural lighting, and glorious landscapes. The transfer captures all of these elements perfectly. The English-only track is Dolby Digital 5.1, with English captioning for the hearing impaired as well as French subtitles.
