In this John Hughes comedy, Chet Ripley (John Candy) and his family travel from their Chicago home to the long-standing family vacation spot, Peck's Pine Log Resort, in order to experience the wonders of nature. However, when Chet's money-grubbing brother, Roman (Dan Aykroyd), and his family show up unexpectedly, the two dissimilar brothers revisit their sibling rivalry.
