An aging businesswoman named Harriet (Shirley MacLaine) asks a young writer (Amanda Seyfried) from her local newspaper to draft her obituary. Harriet's domineering personality has left her with few friends or loved ones to contribute to the memorial, forcing her to make a change if she wants to leave behind a positive legacy.
