The Last Ride

"The Last Ride begins with Ronnie Purnell (Dennis Hopper) going to jail after his wife dies during an attempt by the two to rob a bank. Purnell elects to have their son Aaron raised by their friend Darryl Kurtz, who actually was responsible for Ronnie going to prison. The film moves ahead thirty years in time to find Purnell released from prison. The older Aaron (played by Will Patton) is a police officer who is worried that he will not be able to stop his own son Matt (Chris Camack) from becoming a criminal. Ronnie eventually gets Matt to help him get revenge on the people who put him in jail thirty years before. Featured prominently in the film are a 1969 and a 2004 GTO."
