"Walter Hill's intriguing retelling of the James family saga comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. Spanish and French subtitles are accessible, and the English soundtrack is closed captioned. Supplemental materials are limited to the original theatrical trailer. This film does have a cult following, making its appearance on DVD welcome, but the lack of extras is a bit frustrating. This is a solid release from MGM/UA, who deserve credit for releasing this quirky title."
