The Girl in Blue

Everyone remembers the scene in Citizen Kane in which the octogenarian Mr. Bernstein (Everett Sloane) waxes nostalgic over his brief glimpse of a girl with a parasol in 1897. Girl in Blue seems to be an expansion of that fleeting vignette. David Selby plays a young man who catches a glance at the alluring Maud Adams. Years pass, but Selby can't get Maud out of his mind, and it isn't long before his idle curiosity deepens into an obsession. Filmed in Montreal, The Girl in Blue contains brief nudity and a few sexual scenes, though available videocassettes are unrated.
