After his father is killed in the line of duty, an ambitious young man joins the NYPD and embarks on a mission of vengeance to expose a conspiracy of rogue cops who are hiding the truth surrounding his dad's murder. Meanwhile, his shady boss Sarcone (Robert De Niro) puts him through a series of rigorous tests designed to determine this loyalty.
