Liberty Stands Still

"Wesley Snipes and Linda Fiorentino star in the drama Liberty Stands Still. The film is presented in a fine 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer. The colors and black levels are all bright and bold without any instances of edge enhancement marring the image. Overall this is a very presentable transfer by Lion's Gate. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English. This audio track is a fairly aggressive mix that often utilizes both the front and rear speakers to maximum effect. All aspects of the mix are free and clear of any hiss or distortion, making this a great compliment to a home theater system. Also included on this disc are English and Spanish subtitles. A few extra features have been included on this edition of Liberty Stands Still, starting with a commentary track by director Kari Skogland. This is a very informative track that features a wealth of information about the screenplay and casting of the film. Four split-screen scenes offer the viewer a chance to see how certain sequences were shot using multiple camera angles while a multi-angle feature allows the viewer a chance to see different shots at various perspectives. Finally there is a theatrical trailer for the film included on this disc."
