The Nutcracker (Birmingham Royal Ballet)

Peter Wright mounted this special 1994 stage production of Pyotr Illych Tchaikovsky's ballet +The Nutcracker at The Birmingham Royal Ballet in Birmingham, England. As choreographed by Wright, Lev Ivanov and Vincent Redmon, it stars Miyako Yoshida as The Sugar Plum Fairy, Irek Mukhamedov as The Prince, Sandra Madgwick as Clara and Joseph Cipolla as Drosselmeyer, with additional cast support from the Artists of the Birmingham Royal Ballet. The Royal Ballet Sinfonia, under the baton of Yuri Torchinsky, provides added musical accompaniment.
