The Glory of the Bolshoi

Highlights from almost a hundred years of great performances at the Bolshoi Ballet are presented in Glory of the Bolshoi. The rare footage includes the White Swan pas de deux from +Swan Lake by Yuri Kondratov and Marina Semenova, the pas de trois from +The Nutcracker by Yekaterina Maximova, Alla Mankevich, and Vladimir Vasiliev, and the solo from the +Sugar Plum Fairy by Maximova. Excerpts from +Spartacus are performed by Vasiliev, Maximova, M. Liepa, and N. Bessmertnova. In all, there are 19 selections, some in black-and-white, and the program is presented without narration.
