Last Night of the Proms

The Henry Wood Promenade Concerts (or "The Proms") are an eight-week concert series held every summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and broadcast by the BBC; the closing concert each year, dubbed "The Last Night of the Proms," features a grade-A series of classical interpretations and embodies one of the most popular classical concerts in the western world. This release features the 1994 version of the Last Night. The BBC Symphony Orchestra performs, under the baton of Andrew Davis, with added accompaniment by The BBC Symphony Chorus and The BBC Singers. Featured pieces include Rule Britannia!, Jerusalem, M?ditation from +Tha?s, Marimba Spiritual and Fantasia on British Sea Songs.
