European theater owes a tremendous debt to Norway's own Henrik Ibsen, author of such theatrical staples as +Hedda Gabler and +The Wild Duck, and regarded by countless literary critics as one of the most brilliant playwrights to follow the Bard himself. This brief documentary (one in a series of nonfiction films about legendary authors) provides an overview of Ibsen's life and accomplishments, supplemented by the use of onscreen archival materials.
