Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake

As conceived, directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne and mounted by the contemporary dance ensemble Adventures in Motion Pictures, this 1996 stage production constitutes a revisionist version of Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky's 1877 ballet +Swan Lake. The production made headlines with an unusual trope that involved the enlistment of an all-male cast of swans. The principals dancers include Adam Cooper as The Swan, Scott Ambler as The Prince and Fiona Chadwick as The Queen. The New London Orchestra provides musical accompaniment under the baton of David Lloyd-Jones; Lez Brotherston designed the sets.
