Bruegel studied under Hieronymous Bosch, who was a major influence on his life and works. Bruegel celebrated the lives of the peasant class, depicting them in vibrant colors at work and play. The Harvesters and Peasant Wedding are two representative works. Bruegel also was well known for his imaginative landscapes. His two sons also became painters. The film presents art historians who speak to the special gifts of this artist.
