The "hero" of this film is a Japanese pimp, operating in the immediate postwar era. The pimp's girls are accustomed to being treated badly, assuming that things couldn't possibly get worse. They do: the procurer links up with a criminal gang whose treatment of the prostitutes goes beyond brutal.
