"Twin Falls Idaho is remarkably stylish for an independent film. This DVD edition presents the movie in a colorful high-contrast 1.85:1 widescreen transfer. Director Michael Polish and director of photography M. David Mullen's David Lynch-inspired visual flair, with its intense blue hues, is in full effect. The Dolby Digital sound is superb, as dialogue and Stuart Matthewman's evocative score flow from one's speakers. Sadly, the supplemental material doesn't go into the depth one would expect for such a fine film. The Polish brothers' audio commentary highlights the technical and creative process of the independent filmmaking process, from the script, to the acting and character motivation, to their research on conjoined twins. Since there are no behind-the-scenes featurettes, documentaries on conjoined twins, production notes, or photo galleries, it just seems as if something is missing. ""Talent Files"" presents the usual filmographies for the brothers and actor Michele Hicks. Bonus theatrical trailers cover The City of Lost Children, Splendor, and Birdy. ""Scene Selections"" gives instant access to all 28 chapters via chapter titles and still frames."
