Walls Came Tumbling Down

In this mystery, a Broadway columnist begins investigating the death of a priest who was a good friend of his. The hapless clergyman was found hanging in a rectory and the police officially hail it a suicide. The reporter doesn't believe it and ends up following a convoluted trail involving a frigid Boston socialite, an enigmatic art dealer, a shyster, two purloined Bibles and a painting.
