Manhattan Murder Mystery

"Woody Allen fans know that he releases new films on the average of one a year. Manhattan Murder Mystery is his 1993 entry, and just as this film came and left theatres with very little fanfare, so too did the DVD release. Filled with very few extras, the most exciting thing about this disc is the fact that it's two-sided and offers either the 1:85 widescreen or full-screen versions on different sides. As is customary with Woody Allen releases, there is no commentary track and no interviews from the man himself. There could have been thoughts from some of the film's cast, which includes Alan Alda and Diane Keaton, but no such luck. Even the interactive menus look cheaply produced. A theatrical trailer to the film is included, as well as a trailer to his 1992 entry Husbands and Wives. For the true Allen collector, a better purchase is The Woody Allen Collection eight-pack DVD of his earlier work. Language and subtitle options are in English and French."
