"This historic performance of Mozart's ""Don Giovanni"" -- with Wilhelm Furtwangler leading the Wiener Philharmoniker and Cesare Siepi and Deszo Ernster in the leads -- was staged as part of the 1954 Salzburg Festival, and gets a simple but caring presentation for this DVD release. Mozart: Don Giovanni has been transferred to disc in its original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in PCM Mono. The opera is performed in Italian, and the disc features optional subtitles in English, Spanish, French, German and Chinese. No bonus materials have been added for this release."
