Capriccio

The Metropolitan Opera mounted this John Cox-produced version of Richard Strauss's final opera +Capriccio in 1998, with a cast that includes Renee Fleming as The Countess, Joseph Kaiser as Flamand, Russell Braun as Olivier, Peter Rose as La Roche, and Morten Frank Larsen as The Count. The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra lends musical accompaniment, with Andrew Davis conducting. Mauro Pagano designed the sets, Robert Perdziola created the interior decor and costumes, Val Caniparoli choreographed and Peter McClintock directs for the stage.
