Trials & Crosses (A Tribute to Nitty Gritty)

This is a book that covers over 80 years of family journeys to the cabins in the Swan Valley of northwestern Montana. Most of the stories were written by family members, but some are by friends who had an opportunity to visit for a few days. The memories follow a common theme: lots of good food, conversation, fishing, hikes, and tales told, recalled and embellished.
We always have repeat visitors every summer-I think often it's a matter of their wanting to see what's new and what's changed from previous trips. As you read through these stories, you will soon come to realize how important the Swan River country is to the Nelson families and their friends.
