"The popular London Weekend Television drama series Wish Me Luck originally aired in Britain from January 1988 through February 1990; set in World War II-era, Nazi-occupied France, it begins with Colonel James ""Cad"" Cadogan (Julian Glover), a military man willing to do literally anything necessary to obtain the information he needs - even if it means putting the lives or safety of others at risk by sending them undercover behind enemy lines. Episodes follow two women enduring this plight - a wife and mother named Liz Grainger (Kate Buffery) and a half-Jewish factory worker called Matty Firman (Suzanna Hamilton) - as they slip through day to day situations and attempt to evade detection. This set presents the first eight episodes of the program (all of Series One) as they originally aired."
