"The popular London Weekend Television drama series Wish Me Luck originally aired in Britain from January 1988 through February 1990. Set in World War II-era, Nazi-occupied France, it began with Colonel James ""Cad"" Cadogan (Julian Glover), a military man willing to do literally anything necessary to obtain the information he needed - even if it meant putting the lives or safety of others at risk by sending them undercover behind enemy lines. Episodes of Series Two find seasoned operative Liz Grainger (Kate Buffery) dealing on a day-to-day basis with the new recruits who join the team - among them, radio operator-cum-inexperienced spy Emily (Jane Snowden) and the enigmatic, eerily unpredictable Vivien (Lynn Farleigh). Questions soon arise about how well these women will succeed in France, where even the smallest slip could lead to major casualties.
