The Hound of the Baskervilles

The Hound of the Baskervilles is a British adaptation of perhaps the most famous of the Sherlock Holmes mysteries written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Holmes (Ian Richardson) and Dr. Watson (Donald Churchill) are called to the English countryside by Sir Henry Baskerville (Martin Shaw) to investigate the sighting of a large dog that has terrified the Baskerville family for generations, foretelling their death. Holmes quickly solves the case, but not before encountering strange shadowy figures, quicksand, and lying farmhands. This engaging story, originally produced for British television is a lively, well-acted presentation of a timeless story and is highly recommended for fans of Sherlock Holmes and all mystery fans.
