"One of the biggest American hard rock bands of the 1980s and '90s, Van Halen scored a fistful of hit singles and produced a number of classic videos to match, which are featured on this DVD release. The images have been transferred in their original 1.33:1 full-frame aspect ratio, and the audio has been mastered in PCM Stereo. The disc does not feature subtitles, though the videos have been closed captioned. No bonus features or additional material has been added to beef up the DVD edition Van Halen: Video Hits, Vol. 1 from the previous VHS release, but the improved sound and picture quality (as well as the ability to quickly access individual songs) will doubtless make it a worthwhile purchase for fans."
