"Michael Caton-Jones' lightweight but engagingly performed romantic comedy Doc Hollywood comes to DVD with a standard full-frame 1.33:1 image that fails to reproduce the original theatrical aspect ratio. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles on this release. This by-the-numbers film gets a by-the-numbers DVD release that is palatable mainly because of its inexpensive price. Fans of Michael J. Fox may want to give this disc a look, but there is nothing on it for DVD enthusiasts."
