My Dog Skip

"The fine family film My Dog Skip comes to DVD in a package as entertaining as the film itself. The viewer has the choice between a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 or a standard full-frame 1.33:1 image. English and French soundtracks are both rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English and French subtitles are accessible. The generous supplemental material features two different commentary tracks. Director Jay Russell performs one track, while child star Frankie Muniz and animal trainer Mathilde DeCagney handle the other. Deleted scenes with director commentary are included, as is a theatrical trailer. Three cheers to Warner Bros. for releasing a family DVD with extras that appeal to both children and adults."
