"Rob Reiner directs Luke Wilson and Kate Hudson in the romantic comedy Alex & Emma, which arrives on DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that fails to preserve the original theatrical aspect ratio. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Reiner and Wilson, and the film's theatrical trailer. This is a fine disc for what it is, but the film is available on a different disc in a widescreen transfer. That DVD is preferable to this one."
