Starlight over Texas

Tex Ritter warbles his way into the audience's heart in Monogram's Starlight Over Texas. Ritter plays a US marshal, up against a vicious gang of gun runners. The local arsenal has suffered repeated robberies, but Tex means to put a stop to this skullduggery. He is offered dubious assistance by comic-relief buffoons Snub Pollard and Horace Murphy. Tex's leading lady is Carmen LaRoux, best remembered as "Senorita Rita" in the 1939 Three Stooges short Saved by the Belle. Also keep an eye out for ace stuntman Dave O'Brien, in a fleeting bit.
