Curtain at Eight

It's murder behind the scenes in this mystery that centers around an ill-fated theater production. The trouble begins when an actor is murdered. Initially there is no obvious motive for the killing, but soon it is revealed that the guilty party is his leading lady whom he had recently jilted. The one other suspect is a monkey who was seen playing with a gun in the prop shop.
