Miraculous Journey

In this psychological drama, a group of seven people -- including a pilot, a blind girl, a gangster, an actress, a hostess, a financier and an heiress -- are stranded in a remote jungle after a plane crash. The film chronicles disparate reactions of each as they learn to survive in their new jungle home, with the help of an older man who has been stranded there for many years, and undergo personality changes as a result of the adventure (in most cases, changes for the better). One exception is the gangster, who refuses to repent - and is subsequently eaten by a crocodile. Eventually, the pilot (played by Rory Calhoun) escapes from the jungle and returns to the wreck via helicopter, rescuing his comrades.
