Assembled by the same team responsible for "The March of Time," The Golden Twenties is a nostalgic filmclip festival covering the years between the Armistice and the Wall Street Crash. The darker side of that era -- Teapot Dome, the KKK, Sacco and Vanzetti -- are given ample but not excessive screen time. For the most part, this documentary concentrates on such "wonderful nonsense" as flagpole sitting, bathtub hootch and marathon dancing. Also seen are such celebrities as Rudolph Valentino, Charles Lindbergh, Babe Ruth and Jack Dempsey. Serving as narrators are historian Frederick L. Allen, radio humorist Robert Q. Lewis, journalist Allen Prescott, sportscaster Red Barber and newsman Elmer Davis.
