The Flockton Flyer: Season One

"The classic British children's television series The Flockton Flyer originally aired on ITV in 1977 and 1978. The premise involved a clan called The Carter Family, whose members get evicted from the car repair business and begin working toward reopening a local branch of railway line that has been in disuse (and disrepair ) for many years. The cast included Patrick Mower, Gerald Harper and Harry Fowler, thought the star of the series was its titular ex-Great Western locomotive. All six 30-minute episodes appear in this box set, full and complete as they originally ran on English television; adventures this season include The Carters setting up a makeshift home in Flockton Station, interacting with the tramp Bill Jelly, battling locals who disapprove of the railway line's re-launch; and much more."
