Montserrat Caballe: Norma, Act I

This release contains a performance of Act One only of Vincenzo Bellini's operatic mainstay +Norma, mounted and performed January 30, 1971 at the Teatro Real in Madrid. It stars Robleto Merolla as Pollione, Margreta Elkins as Adalgisa and James Morris as Oroveso. The Orchestra and Chorus of RTVE, under the baton of Enrique Garcia Asensio, provide musical accompaniment.
