The Tsar's Bride

The Bolshoi Theatre mounted this live 1983 stage performance of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's tenth opera, the 1898 Tsar's Bride. The cast of this particular version includes Alexander Vedernikov as Sobaikin, Lydia Kovaleva as Marfa, Yuri Grigoriev as Gryaznoy and Boris Morozov as Malyuta; the production also features musical accompaniment by The Orchestra and Chorus of the Bolshoi Theatre, with maestro Yuri Simonov conducting.
