Maggie Weston is a single mom and children's party planner who has told an itty bitty lie: she has a wonderful life (almost not a lie), complete with a wonderful fiance (the lie).

A surprise visit by Maggie Weston's critical mother to her small New Hampshire town has her scrambling to find herself a no-strings-attached fiance. Which finds her doing something that could truly make her the Bad Mom she thinks she already is: renting a man.

But, whoa, what a man! Augustus Sloane is part strapping manly man, part analytical entomologist (aka, The Bug Dude). He has a major favor to repay, and to repay that favor, he says yes to being rented for a weekend where HE'LL be the one who is seriously under the microscope.

With Maggie's eight-year-old daughter in tow, however, there will be absolutely no funny business.
