"As adapted from Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery's popular 1923 novel of the same title, the miniseries Emily of New Moon (1998) dramatized the adventures of the titular young orphan girl (Martha MacIsaac), whose passionate attitude toward life and unabashed romanticism brought her into head-to-head conflict with her super-ascetic foster family.
