"One of the most popular western series of the post-war years, CBS's Rawhide (1959-66) also introduced viewers to a young man who ultimately became a Hollywood icon: Clint Eastwood, just prior to his series of collaborations with Sergio Leone. Rowdy Yates (Eastwood) was second-in-command to a trail boss on a series of cattle drives, back-and-forth across the Great Plains. The fourth season of the program ran from September 1961 through May 1962, and contained thirty episodes, the first half of which appear in this box set.
