A socially maladjusted New Hampshire librarian attempts to unravel the mystery of his father's death, and winds up getting drawn into a bizarre world of intrigue unlike anything he's ever experienced. Marlboro Patch is 20 years old. He's never ventured outside his comfort zone -- much less New Hampshire -- but he's about to take that fateful first step toward an exciting new life. Later, after being questioned by the FBI, interrogated by militiamen, and involved in a sunrise shoot-out of epic proportions, Marlboro comes one step closer to discovering the truth about his mundane existence.
