Pepe's Story is based on a true story about the life of a young Mexican boy who is orphaned when he is just four years old. After his mother dies, Pepe struggles to survive and is finally taken in by his aunt. The story is sad, emotional, funny and has a happy ending. Pepe's Story is in English and has a Spanish Translation on the opposite page in the book. This is the first of several children's books about the life and adventures of Pepe'. This book won the American Federation of Teachers Award at the DoVa Exhibit at the Larsen Gallery in Yakima, Washington in June of 2013. Pepe's Story is a great educational tool because it is written in English with a Spanish Translation for each page.
