A restful vacation becomes a time for terror in this terrifying thriller from Japan. Shiyori (Nao Matsushita) and her best friend Aiko (Ami Suzuki) check into a remote resort community in the hills for a few days of fun and relaxation. However, they soon find that the rustic surroundings hold a deadly secret -- a community of bloodthirsty maniacs lay siege to the place armed with massive scissors, and the young women must battle the ghouls to save their lives. Ekusu-Kurosu (aka X-Cross) was directed by Kenta Fukasaku, son of the respected Japanese filmmaker Kinja Fukasaku; Kenta's first major directorial assignment was taking over for his father to compete Battle Royal II following Kinja's death.
