The global age requires an innovative approach to thinking about life and reality, especially about how people in diverse cultures can relate to and understand one another and about the nature and role of education since education is responsible for the proper raising of future generations.
Such an innovative approach to thinking, suitable and useful for the global age, needs to be rooted and anchored in Number and Ordinary Language.
The advent of computers and the internet coupled with technological advances in the speed and scale of transportation have resulted in innumerable interactions and transactions in the commercial, financial, and cultural affairs of widely diverse classes, races, religions, cultures, and nations. This unprecedented historical situation poses an immediate initial challenge to humanity: namely, how can human beings learn to understand and empathize with one another sufficiently to establish lasting cultural and social bonds that unite them and permit them to live together in peace and prosperity while yet preserving the identity and rich legacies of humanity's diverse cultures and traditions.
This book seeks to help humanity meet this challenge.
