Excerpt: An Qi An Qi (simplified Chinese : ) (born 21 June 1981 in Dalian , China ) is a Chinese football goalkeeper who currently plays for Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League . An Qi was also included in the Chinese national squad that played during the 2002 FIFA World Cup, however he did not feature in any of the games. Club career An Qi was one of the most promising young goalkeepers within China and would rise to prominence during his time for Dalian Shide and established himself as their first choice goalkeeper within the 2002 league season, in time to also be called up to the Chinese football team . After four seasons with Dalian Shide the club brought in Vladimir Petrovi as their new manager and he would drop An Qi as the first choice goalkeeper. An Qi would go on loan to lower league side Dalian Changbo to help revive his career and it would work when top tier side Xiamen Lanshi decided to make him on as their first choice goalkeeper. After two seasons with the team the club would be relegated from the Chinese Super League and decide to disband in a disappointing 2007 season.
