Haydn: Symphonies Nos. 104 & 103 - Scenes of London

This unique video series, NAXOS MUSICAL JOURNEY, recognizes the impact of setting and natural beauty on the creative mind, and pays tribute to that by combining gorgeous classical music with a visual tour of the landscape which inspired its creation. On this release, two legendary symphonies of the great Classical composer Joseph Haydn are featured. These symphonies, known as the London and the Drum Roll, are accentuated by a video journey through the great city of London. From Piccadilly Circus to the majestic Buckingham Palace to the gorgeous symmetry of Hyde Park, this city clearly served as an inspiration for Haydn's enduring music.
