Aspiring artists John and Patrick attempt to launch their careers by relocating to the city, and fall under the influence of a smooth-talking art dealer who convinces them that artistic integrity is for suckers. Meanwhile, John begins dating pretty art aficionado Abbey, and overprotective Patrick begins snooping into her past. When Patrick reveals his findings to John, the cracks in their friendship begin to show.
