Der Student Von Prag

A reworking of Faust, in which a young man sells his reflected mirror-image to a sorcerer in return for love and power, until the reflection itself takes on a semblance of infernal life. Primitive, yet effective, special-effects highlight this first film version of the story featuring future Golem Paul Wegener.
